The older you get the more difficult dating seems to become. You lose the enthusiasm for going out places and having to make the effort to meet new people is a trial in itself. You end up in a rut and it is difficult to get out. Visiting the bar to meet your mates ends up being the event you do and look forward to. There are the usual round of events that really don't seem to work such as Pubs, dances, night clubs and local dating services. I don't know whether you've noticed but they all seem to be packed with people you don't want to meet doing things that really have no interest for you at all.
What I suggest is that you concentrate on the holiday season. If you just stay at home during these times it can be a waste of time. Going away on your own just concentrates the problems in your mind and going with firends just extends the pub life rut that you have all the time anyway.
Here is a well thought out plan that allows you to set up a holiday and have somebody waiting for you when you arrive...anywhere in the world. It takes time and planning but I guess you have the time and the planning is fun anyway!
