The purpose of this site is to provide ideas for single people who want to go on holiday rather than just stay at home and be miserable as usual!
Single people want to go on holiday. After all what is the point of doing all that work if there is no reward at the end?
What choices are there?
There are really only 5 ways that single people can manage to have a holiday away from home.
1 You can go to visit friends and relatives.
Some are lucky and have relatives in other countries. This can be a pleasant time but is not necessarily the total answer to the problem especially if you want to do something different.
2 You can go with friends on holiday.
Finding other single friends who have the same interest and want to go to the same places can be difficult
3 You can choose to join an organised party on an activity or adventure holiday.
This has the benefit of being able to meet other single people in the same situation as yourself
4 You can go away on your own and take things as they come.
The problem with this is that there can be many lonely hours and there is no guarantee that you will meet other people that you can be friends with. Often the answer here is to go on a package holiday and go on all the organised trips
5 You can find somebody to travel with.
This can be done by advertising or searching for web sites that bring travel buddies together.
Despite everything it seems that most singles end up staying at home when everybody else in families and couples enjoy a well earned break. They stay at home because they know that they will be on their own when they get there.
Is there an alternative?
Yes there is!
See the travel buddies section for a new idea that will allow you to experience all the places you wanted to travel but with a partner of your choice or buy the Ebook 'No Single Supplement' now for complete details.
What if I want to join an organised tour or travel on my own?
Taking the first step towards booking your first singles holiday is an enormous one. This is just as much a problem for people who have always been single as it is for those who have just recently become single. It is a fear of the unknown that stops us doing it, even though we know that we want something new and exciting in our lives.
We all know how difficult it is to find suitable holiday destinations and arrangements if you are single.
The whole holiday industry seems to be geared to a minimum of two people sharing and this means that single people are expected to bare the additional costs.
There are a number of organisations that specialise in setting up packages for single people wanting to join in with a group of like minded individuals on adventure, activity or sports type holidays.
